Another high-scoring, confident victory – this time against the Sharks!

Machine-translated from Hungarian.

We’d already managed to secure a fine away win against the Sportország Sharks, and that was the aim for the home return fixture on Saturday evening at the Nemak Ice Rink as well.

Although the first period began with us scoring (Márk Nagy opened the scoring in the 5th minute), we were unable to fully showcase our own skilful style of play, so first the equaliser and then the lead fell into the visitors’ hands thanks to Vizi. There were no complaints about our fighting spirit, however; we managed to equalise twice in the first 20 minutes, first through Dani Taródi, then – following Berthaud’s goal – Márk Koczkás ensured we went into the break level.

In the second half, the lads showed just how they can play this game; there was never any doubt as to who would emerge victorious from the pitch today. Makovics, Lévai, Sipák and Koczkás all found the net, and the team from the capital had no answer to that.

We managed to maintain the dominance we’d shown in the previous 20 minutes into the final period as well, but by this stage the Sharks were also able to break through our defence on a few occasions. Márk Nagy – just as in the first period – was quick to open the scoring here too, to which Berthaud replied a few minutes later, before the real game-changer came in the 49th minute, just 10 seconds after Makovics’s goal! Koczkás also found the net, scoring our 9th and 10th goals. Vona managed to score a consolation goal for the visitors, but Filipp Nesterov sealed the final score in the 56th minute.

We managed to secure a confident victory, despite a few minor wobbles in our play. We need to make our overwhelming attacking play and precise defending in the second period a consistent feature so that we can be truly effective against any team we face. Come on, UNI GYŐR ETO!
